Welcome to the Northern Ryeland Group

The Northern Ryeland Group was formed in 1991 as a social and support group. It is a friendly, hard working group whose aim is to promote and give support and help to breeders old and new.

During the year, we hold events such as a BAA B.Q. and a hands-on informative Stockmanship Day that includes children’s events. The group has also initiated Ryeland and Coloured Ryeland classes at numerous local shows throughout the North.

The events are free and open to members and their families and also offer a welcome to anyone with an interest in the Ryeland breed. They are a really good way of meeting like minded people and sharing each other’s experiences.
